Some kinda wonderful

Hello! Well, last weekend was fab. We went on a long drive to the mountains...and stayed outside all night! We slept in this covering made of this thin material, mum called it a 'tent' and i was certain that if anything came to attack us we'd be toast. Grrrr... lots of dangers out there... I wasn't scared cuz mum was with me, but man.. if something tried to get us, it would hear from me! Its kinda chilly sleeping outside all night, I had to squeeze into mum's sleeping bag, and hope she didn't roll over me... but, she didn't move, so thats allright.
I tried to cover my food with leaves one morning before we left our temporary home, and when I came back that evening, it appears that a squirrel had stolen all my food! Well, thats probably a good thing... I guess... but I want to eat the squirrel now! Or, if I was a nice pup, ask it where it hid my food....ya right.

Mum and her friend decided to do a bike ride up this really big hill. What an exhausting time! They walked the bikes up most of the way cuz it was so steep. Something about 'Pallisades' lookout. We took a wrong turn tho, and kept going up the wrong trail, so we never did get to see the lookout, but wholly smokes was the ride down fun!!! I was on mum's back, in her backpack...the wind blowing in my furry face as I tried to crawl out onto her shoulder to get the best air I could. Weeeeee... 45 minutes of speed in fresh mountain air!!!!

The next day we went to this place where there were funny white creatures all over the lawn. Mum called them 'Goats', I didn't like them very much... they're stinky. I stayed near mum just in case they decided to come and get me. It smelled of stinky sulpher (i'm a chemistry major IMHO)... hey..i'm a dog and I'm typing here.. forgetaboutit...okay... so as I was saying... Miette Hotsprings and Sulpher Trail....big hike to the top of the Sulpher mountain. Skyline Trail.... we saw lots of deer, one even started to come closer to check me out (cuz I'm so darn cute) but, I scared it away with my huge scary voice. Woof!

The view from the top was pretty amazing... could see lots of mountains and the valleys were fantastic! (after all this walking I still wanted to eat that squirrel). There were lots of chipmunks there for me to chase, but mom didn't let me. I guess she was afraid i might 'catch' something... YA.. its called FOOD! tee heee..
